Dr Kobby Mensah has a profound interest in the organisation and management of modern political and social institutions under the disciplines of political marketing, media and branding.
His works explore the world of political and destination marketing and their development in Western democracies and how these paradigms are taking shape in Africa.
His PhD thesis from Sheffield University on “Political Brand Management: Forms and Strategies in Modern Party Management” examined how branding has been operationalized in a competitive political marketplace, and proposed the Political Brand Architecture (PBA) theory as a framework for managing party, candidate and policy brands.
Dr Mensah is currently an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, and a member of the Political Marketing Specialist Group (PMSG) coordinating the Ghana Political Marketing Group (Ghana PMG).
He is also the Board Chairman for Repu-Build Africa Ltd and serves on the academic advisory board of Palgrave-Macmillan’s Political Marketing and Management book series.
